The terrifying moment which was captured in a mobile phone by the victim shows Violent Melissa Connolly, 43, attack her now ex-partner Peter Cairns, when he tried to leave her house in Barrow, Cumbria, on the night of October 20 of last year.
Doctors said he was lucky not to lose an eye in the attack, that left begging for help in the video.
Melissa who appeared at the Preston Crown Court last Friday, pleaded guilty to causing malicious wounding to Peter Cairns.
According to Mail Online, she was originally charged with Section 18, malicious wounding with intent, which is the most serious form of assault a person can commit. She pleaded not guilty to the Section 18 offence but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of a Section 20 grievous bodily harm or wounding without intent.
Connolly will return to Preston Crown Court on February 2 for sentencing.
